What Is CPIM?

Introduced in 1973, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is recognized as the international standard for specialized, in-depth production and inventory management education. Certification confirms understanding of the design, operation, and control of systems for the manufacture and distribution of products and services. The CPIM curriculum is divided into seven interrelated modules, each concluding with an examination. To become certified, a candidate must pass six of the seven exams.

CRIM Modules:
  • Basics of Supply Chain Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Just-in-Time (JIT)
  • Master and Capacity Requirements Planning
  • Production Activity Control
  • Systems and Technologies

What Is CIRM?

The Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) program expands your expertise while helping you assess career goals and grow professionally. This revolutionary educational program provides professionals with a solid understanding of the interdepen dency of broad business functions and how decision making affects other disciplines within the business enterprise. Since its introduction in 1991, more than 2,400 professionals have earned the CIRM designation. The CIRM designation confirms understanding of multiple business functions and how they interact. The CIRM curriculum is divided into five complementary modules, each concluding with an examination. To become certified, a candidate must pass the exams for all five modules.

CIRM Modules:
  • Enterprise Concepts and Fundamentals
  • Customers and Products
  • Logistics
  • Manufacturing Processes
  • Integrated Enterprise Management

Comuputer-based Testing (CBT) for APICS Certification Exams

APICS offers state-of-the-art computerized exams for CPIM and CIRM testing. CBT offers significant advantages over traditional testing methods. Computer-based Testing Network centers are open up to six days a week, eight to 10 hours a day, at more than 250 locations in North America. Candidates can call any test center from 90 days to two business days before an exam to schedule an appointment.

Earn College Credit for CPIM and CIRM

It may be possible for you to earn college credit for passing APICS certification exams.
