The Master of Science Degree in Career and Technical Education with an option in Occupational Training and Development has been designed for those desiring to study or pursue a career in training. No matter what the vocation, this program will enhance the graduate's skills in planning, delivery, and evaluation of training programs, in order to promote individual and corporate improvement. This program can be completed online to fit the schedule of working professionals. The following 30-hour program of studies is prescribed:
Core Courses are 12 semester hours of Evaluation in Technical Education, Occupational Information, Research in Education, and Creative Problem Solving. Specialty Option Courses are 12 semester hours of Occupational Training Materials, Occupational Training Methods, and 6 semester hours of Occupational Training Practicum. Supporting Courses are 6 semester hours of graduate level electives approved by advisor. Students with a background in education should complete six semester hours of Research in Technology, rather than Occupational Training Materials and Occupational Training Methods.
