The Master of Science Degree in Career and Technical Education with an option in Technical Education Administration has been designed to offer prospective and current administrators in career and technical education the opportunity for advanced study in the area of administration and leadership. The program is designed to fulfill the graduate curriculum requirements specified for Kentucky career and technical administration certification. The following 30-hour program of studies is prescribed:
Core Courses are 12 semester hours of Evaluation in Technical Education, Occupational Information, Research in Education, and Creative Problem Solving. Specialty Option Courses are 6 semester hours of Supervision in Career and Technical Education, and Organization and Administration of Career and Technical Education. Supporting Courses are 12 semester hours of Technical Education Facility Planning, Introduction to School Leadership and Administration, Finance and Support Services in School, and School Law and Ethics in School Leadership.
